Inner City Inclusion works in conjunction with Detroit Public Schools to provide inspiration and support to students who feel a college education is out of reach for them. We know that seeing is believing, so we aim to install college and university insignia throughout the DPS school system while helping students make their dreams a reality by providing college essay writing workshops, scholarship search assistance, and application support, just to name a few.

Our services.

  • Dream it.

    We believe a college education is attainable for anyone who dreams it. But how does one dream of something they’ve never seen? That’s where ICI comes in. Through our “See it, Believe it, Achieve it!” initiative we aim to install college and university insignia throughout DPS schools to serve as a vision board and launch pad for dreams to spring from.

  • Build it.

    It all begins with an dream. Now let’s turn that dream into a reality! ICI’s College Essay Committee can assist students with their college entrance essays which will help them get closer to achieving their dream of a college education.

  • Fund it.

    We know that college can be expensive! That’s why ICI has dedicated a team to assist students with scholarships and financial aid.

  • Achieve it.

    Support from ICI doesn’t end once admissions and financial aid have been accomplished. We aim to continue assisting students through our mentorship program where we pair students with a mentor who has traversed the sometimes rocky roads of the college matriculation process. Our mentors are here to guide students through the ups and downs of college life to ensure that their dreams are achieved.
